Bad access, Kern Protection failure?

I keep getting these error messages when Safari keeps quitting. I have Safari 3.2.1 and OS X 10.5.6. I have performed resets, I empty my cache and clear my history often. It seems to be getting worse. The programs get the beach ball and then everything just quits running. 99% of the time I am getting the bad access, kern protection failure message. Is there something I cna do to fix it or prevent it?

Open /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor & Console (for Logs) and see what is running wild. Plus check /YouHardDrive/Internet Plug-Ins/ folder to see if one is old and running wild.
