I am new to webcams. I have a iBook G4 1.07 ghz with 1.25 GB of RAM. I'm running 10.4.11.
I have just acquired an HP KQ246AA Deluxe webcam. to use with Skype. I bought it because it was UVC compatible and recommended on the Mac Compatible Webcams page.
Frame rate is much less than 30/sec, and there are no controls available for Macintosh, so the image is very over-exposed under artificial light.
Is this because my iBook is simply not fast enough?
Seems to me I have not made a good choice, and I'm going to return it. Can anyone recommend a $30 webcam that will work for me?
