batch thumbnailing OR imagecapture probs

captain obvious
with 10.2 my elph stopped working with image capture, it goes to 100% cpu and stays there until i kill it from the terminal

i dont mind this so much though because i use a cf to pcmcia adapter and can just drag and drop the files, but without the handy little thumbnails i have come to love and need for organization

so, does anyone know either:

what is wrong with imagecapture and how to fix it?

OR

how to easily create thumbnail a group of jpgs



any help is appreciated
 
Did you get GraphicConverter for free with your PowerBook? I think GraphicConverter can do batches of things like that but I think you have to have the licensed version.

Unfortunately, I can't check because I left my Powerbook on top of my car a week ago and drove off... And fell off... It's in for repairs right now... :(

to clarify i just want to give the files thumbnail views in the finder, not create actual separate thumbnails
 
I may be missing something... but try using column view... the finder displays a thumbnail of images.

I have found this doesn't always work for external drives... it's kind of a hit and miss for me most of the time.
