Battery

I have a PowerBook G4. The battery on the back of the loptop shows 3 green lights. But the G4 will not work. Only if it is pulged in to the AC. The G4 shows a X on the battery. Do I need a new battery? Info on G4 Mac OSX 10.3.9 1GHz Power pcG4 1 MB L3 cache 512 MB SDRAM

Sounds like the battery's alright, but the connectors somehow don't work - either on the battery or inside the PowerBook. Get it checked. (You can also maybe try a friend's battery or try your battery in a friend's PowerBook to see where the problem is...)
