Belkin "Flip for mac mini" KVM, anyone try this?

I just stumbled across the Flip for Mac mini KVM and it looks intriguing because it's targetting the Mac mini specifically.

Has anyone tried one of these? I'm interested in sharing a monitor between a Mac mini I'll be installing this weekend and another Mac, a G4-based PowerMac I think. It's a tower case and has a flat panel monitor.

Also, does the Mac mini come with a video cable?

Thanks!

Peace...

Great! I think I might have seen one of these at Fry's today during lunch. Good to know it's in use with Macs AND the product page mentions it's Mac mini compatible. I'll take another look at it. :)

Peace...

just to let you know, if you are going to use it likt i do, with a mac and win pc, i only was able to get the switching to work correctly with a ms keyboard. what i mean correctly is that all the keys on the keyboard worked liked they were ment to on the seperat oses. a generic usb, and aftermarket usb made for mac keyboards did not work. i didn't try a kegnston, but thats because i bought the ms, one which was black, to match my black lcd. but if you are using it for two macs, your apple keyboard will work just fine.

I just read a review of the Flip For Mac Mini the other day, here's the summary.

It's cute and looks good under your Mini. It adds a Control Panel to your System Prefs that enables keyboard commands to switch, which seems way cool. Full mac keyboard & mighty mouse support in windowsw environment. Touch panel buttons for volume, switching, and eject (for the mini).

No DVI support. You'll have to get a DVI to VGA adapter to use it with yor mini (if it didn't come with one)

It seems the largest complaint is with video ghosting at high resolutions (1280x1024) on lcd monitors. (I blame the downgrading from DVI to VGA)

Other than that, it looks like a slick little product. My biggest problem... the white plastic KVM wouldn't mesh with the Mini's metal housing (at least in my little OCD world)

If people started getting all of these "made for mac mini" stackable stuff, eventually, they will have a giant tower of mac mini stuff. Seriously, though. You could end up with a mac-maxi or something.

might as well skip the chase and just buy a tower. at least with a tower to begin with, you won't get the leaning tower of pezia:D
