Um.... if all you're talking about is making exact duplicates of an audio CD (and, you can do it even faster than real time), you can use iTunes. However, instead of importing (ripping) to MP3 or M4A, you'll be doing it in a CD's native format: AIFF.
From the iTunes menu, choose "preferences..."
Click "Advanced" icon, then click "Importing" tab
Import using "AIFF Encoder" (make sure it says "44.100 kHz, 16 bit, Stereo" below)
Click OK
Insert CD. Click the "import" button in the upper right.
Then, make a new playlist and drag all the tracks from the library to your new playlist. Click the playlist open, then click "burn." You are now making an exact copy.
Beware: AIFF files are large... about 10MB per minute... but they sound better than MP3s and M4As
