Hi all,
what is the best audio editing software for Mac to add echo/reverb to a solo singer? i used to use Adobe Audition which was great, now I'm using Mac which "suppose" to be better and more professional in this area, but till now I didn't find any good software that can give me the same feeling of a deep voice effects produced with Adobe Audition... any help?

Best regards

I use Amadeus II. Not as full-featured as the other big-names but it gets the job done and is quite inexpensive ($30 for single-user license). I think it may be the bastard red-headed stepchild of Macromedia's old SoundEdit 16 from back-in-the-day. It has a very similar interface.

I tried Amadeus pro, it didn't give me the effects i'm looking for.
does the soundtrack or garage band or peak has good effects for vocals?

regarding Audacity, i'm looking for something professional for my project. Thanks nixgeek for helping.

Well, just because it's open source doesn't mean it's not professional. Don't believe me? Check out the following examples

Don't knock it just because it's free (in both cost and philosophy). Audacity is used a lot by podcasters as well. I've used Audacity on a bunch of audio projects and it's done the job for me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have recommended it.

I'll never understand why people believe that they're only relegated to paying for software if they want quality... *sigh*
