Best iPod ripper

Last night my iPod locked up and needed a reset (had to read how to do it). It scared me enough to back up my stuff (almost 4,000) songs and burn to CDs (don't want to fill my external or internal hard drive with duplicates of music.
I have podmanager, but podutil and ipod2go also seem quite good.
Any favorites out there? Or ones to avoid? I do want one that will also pull my audible.com and itms content easily enough. Thanks.

I use iPod Viewer. Seems a bit slow when I have umh, 15 G of music but .. it does fine what it needs to.
