Beta test my usenet binary grabbing program for OS X

I'm developing a program to grab single- and multi-part binaries from usenet newsgroups.

Bluebeard, the name of my program, is at a good stage: it has been tested somewhat, and is fairly stable.

Bluebeard currently supports UUE- and yEnc-encoded attachments.

yea, those look good and appropriate as well. perhaps you should have given a link for downloading it

ok, i just downloaded it and it did one of my pet peeves - wanted to start installing as soon as it's opened. a lot of people tend not to trust software that does this. i'd fix that and put a read me with it. even if the read me just says to double click on the package and the installer will guide you thru.

i'll say more once i've tried it, which might be a few days. frankly i haven't had the time or the interest to participate in usenet like i once did but i should be able to give it a whirl and tell you what i think.

Ack, I didn't want to post the link.

The reason I was posting is because I'm not going to release another public version for a little while, and I need to get some bugs found and fixed.

Yea the install thing I noticed, but that's something with OS X, because all I did was make a pkg and then put it in a dmg. Maybe its some setting in disk copy or package maker that I missed, though.

Well, to the people that download beta 4, please email me or PM me if you'd like to receive interim beta builds for testing!

oops, sorry, i guess that wasn't clear to me that you want testers for unreleased betas. well, it's probably still a good idea that people see what you have released and realize exactly what you want out of them here. i mean i noticed it the day it was released at VT and others here probably did too.

yea, must be some setting while creating the dmg. i know the last person that i complained about it to, got it fixed in their next release, so it must not be too hard.
