Bill Gates Plots a Windows Future...

It was just the GUI in general. I'm pretty sure Xerox's system had a desktop. Both Apple and Microsoft "stole" this idea.

Many of these ideas predate Xerox PARC. The concept of windows is distinct from the concept of the GUI. Rather than regurgitate misinformation, people would do well to do a little research into the history of Xerox PARC, Smalltalk, the Lisa, the Macintosh, MS Windows, and the individuals who worked developed the ideas and worked on these projects.
