I get the above promt whenever I try to download the newest version of safari. Also, can't seem to add new applications. can you help?
 
Are you downloading Safari 4 for Mac Classic? Pre-X, so Mac OS 9.x or earlier?

What OS do you have? 10.5.x, 10.4.x, 10.3.x...?
How are you adding these new applications?
 
I'm having the same problem. My son, who is computer savvy, doesn't really know what's happening either. I'm using 10.3.9 too. I'm having some luck with Sea Monkey (at least I can read my emails now).
 
Safari 4 system requirements:

10.3.9 will not work.
