BitchX wont connect

I followed the directions on installing BitchX at: http://www.chevell.cx/macosx/bitchxpb.html

But, when I finished and I started it up I keep getting "Unable to connect to port 6667 of server irc.idle.net: Can't assign requested address" on any server I try connecting to. Any ideas on how to make my BitchX work?
 
Check your /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf.
Sounds like a port or socket allocation error. Make sure irc is in there.
