Hi guys, I'm new here, but am really hoping someone can help me!
I have a two year old dual G5 running tiger.
Mail has never worked, but I've never really been interested in using it (as I use web-based gmail) until recently...
I can set mail up to recieve my .mac and gmail, but anytime I try to compose or reply to a mail, I get alert sounds and no text.
This seems to be an issue with spellcheck, as when I disable this I can type no problem.
Console throws up this message:

Now, the OTHER thing that I've tried is setting up a new user and trying mail in that. This works perfectly.
I've tried trashing all Libary and .plist files, to no avail. I really need to use mail as it supports DHTP and I've just got a Blackberry... Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm very reluctant to try and migrate two years worth of data and settings over to a new user account... And even more reluctant to do any form of clean install. I've tried an archive install but this hasn't done any good.
If anyone has any ideas that may help me, I'd be very greatful...
