Hello, I'm looking for alternatives to try before doing an Archive and Install of OS10.3. I'll have to update everything to OS10.3.9 again.

I just lost the ability to mount blank media onto my desktop. I can see the disk in Disk Utility and iTunes. I have System Preferences set to "Ask what to do" when blank CD's and DVD's are inserted. The window pops up asking me what to do, but apparently, the Finder isn't working. The Finder Preferences are checked to show CD's and DVD's on desktop. Already burned CD's and DVD's show up on the desktop.

I have tried repairing permissions, deleting the finder.plst and digihub.plist files, restarting the computer, checking a test account (doesn't work there either), and ran Disk Warrior.

I don't know how this happened, I just burned something the other day. I think the last thing I burned was a bootable disk image of Disk Warrior. Do you think that might have screwed me up?

I have a previous system folder if you can think of anything I could drag over from there. I know the Archive and Install will fix it, but if there's an easier way, I'd love to hear it. I hate going through all the updates.
