For some reason my files associations changed without my knowledge. Example pdf files changed to the Color Sync Utility which does not allow me to print. Preview was absolutely fine so I changed it back through the get info window. Now I am getting blank icons for a bunch files (pdf, images files...) for which I resetted the permissions.
I would like to do two things:
1. Restore the original associations (when os x was originally installed)
2. Have previews and not blank icons for as much files as possible.
What is the solution to these problems?
