Blocking Senders in Mail

Other than creating a rule to automatically delete a message as it comes in, is there an easy way to block a sender?

if you train your junk capabilities it will know to automatically delete it if you enable junk mail deletion (under Special Mailboxes when you choose to edit an account in preferences)

add a filter.
"if the from contains e.g. "hotmail" or "theonewhodisturbsyou@hisdomain.com" or anyone at "hisdomain.com" then cancel or trash".
