Hi All

I have just purchased a motorola v535 blue tooth compatible.. I bought the blue tooth device. All seems to be working as far as the comp and mobile seem to be registering with each other.
The bluetooth assistan can see the device,, the problem i have is that when i put on Isync and scan for that device it cannot find the motorola v525 mobile.

What am i missing? i have read files and instructions.

Has anyone else had this problem?

it must be a simple thing i am missing.

Thanks everyone

oh no!!! but the fone is blue tooth compatible - i am reading it on the box!:-(

i thought that that so long as Blue tooth could read between the mobile and my ibook then it would sync!

what a very big disapointment!:-(

I suppose that it will work on a pc (work pc). That is a very poor option for me! i want it to work on my ibook!
Sad

Have you tried connecting with bluetooth but not isynch?
If you turn on bluetooth on the ibook, and set it to put the bluetooth menu in the menu bar, you can try "browse device" and see if you can get to the phone that way.

Hi Ora

thanks for you advice but it didnt work... I did not research whether isync would be with motorola v525, I stupidly assumed it would work for any device that was blue tooth compatible.

I have backed up my contacts on a pc and using bluetooth to transfer to the motorola. Not idea by any means! Maybe i will get lucky and isync will update with motorola v 525 being compatible with it.

Thanks again for your attention

Yes, I'm in the same boat, except with a Nokia 6610 phone. No bluetooth, but it's got infrared and a USB data cable -- iSync just doesn't support it... yet, I'm hoping.

Perhaps in a future update of iSync.

Great! Trust me, though, I've been checking Software Update and Apple's iSync page almost religiously to see if they've added support for my phone. It's strange that this phone isn't supported, but some of the other, cheaper, dinkier phones I had the option of purchasing are supported. And dammit, I bought the data cable for $50 thinking it would be supported! My fault, yes, but one can still have hope...

The strange thing is that I can STILL use my ancient Palm IIIe with iSync, just not my modern phone!

For what it's worth, I could have made the same error - I also thought that all bluetooth devices would sync...

Yes it is a mistake any one could make! watch out any futher mobile phone buyers! IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK WITH YOUR MAC - COOSE WISELY! (I am still upset about the whole thing)!! Oh well life goes on! ;)
