Boot Problems

Hi,

I have a problem with an iMac G3 333 MHz. My dad got it as a gift, but it had OS9 installed on it. I wanted to install OSX on it, wich worked out fine initially. Starting out with 10.1.0, then updating till 10.1.3 there were no problems. But when I installed 10.1.4 and rebooted the computer everything went bananas. The OS won't start up any more, it now gives a DOS-like screen saying:

bootr, unknown word
Failed to boot
Apple iMac Open Firmware 3.0 f10 built on 03/05/99 at 21:14:19
Copyright blabla...

after that it says: 0 >

Rebooting the computer holding down the c key (of course having the osX installation cd put in the cd-drive) won't make the computer boot from the cd.

I suspect the problem is I haven't made any firmware-updates, so I just want to start all over. My problem is I don't have a clue which command I should use in the for-lack-of-a-better-word DOS-like-environment. Can you help me out? I just need to know how I can boot from the cd-rom drive again and then I'll work it out.

Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to hearing your answer.

Greetings,

Miga
