boot problems

i am sorry if i put this in the wrong place but i had no idea where else to put it

i am running tiger on my powerbook g4
well yesterday i booted up my computer and it will not boot all the way!
i will get the apple logo witht he little time thing going around it for a while and then a blue screen and my mouse

i have left it alone for hours to see if it would fully boot and no luck

any idea what this is or what i can do to fix it?

hey fwatkins i was reading through a website and found out how to fix the issue... well it fixed mine anyways... but i thought i would share and maybe it will fix yours

what i did is turn the computer on and put the install disk in and then turned the computer off

as soon as you hit the power button use the key combination [Command + Option + Shift + Delete] and keep holding it for a while (took mine two minutes or less) and your install disk screen will come up

then i just had to install the system again
but it works!

You can boot off the OS disc by holding just the C key down.
