Bootcamp 2.1 won't install in Vista 32

Since late April, Apple Software update has been popping up to tell me that I should install Bootcamp 2.1. However, every time I tell it to install, it is unsuccessful. I've also tried to download the "BCUpdateVista32" Installer myself, but that has not worked. I've even tried going to the command prompt to install from there, but nope. When I try to install the Bootcamp update, I get the following message:

"The installer encountered errors before Boot Camp could be configured. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again. Click Finish to exit the installer.

This is extremely frustrating! What should I do?

Thanks,

Alex

In OS X 10.5.X just use /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and Repair each partition. Then in the Windows partition defrag the Windows drive. Lastly reboot back into OS X 10.5.x and try the update again.
