Bootcamp Problem Firmware

I installed bootcamp, but when I go to the utilities Boot Camp program it says Boot Camp Assistant cannot be used. You must update your computer's firmware before using this setup assistant. But I went to Software Update and it's up-to-date so I don't know what to do anyone else have this program?

i had the same issue with my new mac (i am just starting off on day 2 with my first mac)

you need to find the firmware update 1.0.1 either on the apple.com site, or you can google it. install that firmware (by rebooting, read the instructions carefully) then you can continue on with bootcamp, and make sure you XP is SP2 or else it wont run correctly.

i had home edition so it didn't have sp2 .. so i am using parallels and it works good for what i need. I am only using it for when i post on eBay (for internet expoler) but thanks for the info!
