Botched Apple releases

It just occured to me that back in the day, a certain Bill Gates walked into Apple HQ and stole Windows. It seems somebody from Apple has recently been snooping @ Microsoft HQ and came away with a Windows deployment manual...how else would you explain the problems with the current OSX release??

lucky for some. spotlight is pointlessly slow, and makes finder crash, and the memory management is terrible. sluggish, unstable. i'm going back to panther after tomoro (i've got tons of work until tomoro. havent got time clean installing untill then)

The odd thing is that Tiger was a little unstable after installing it on my Pismo. However, with 10.4.1, it cleared up through sheer luck it seems (I never submitted reports for the issues other than app crashes). Spotlight hasn't been a problem for me since the major indexing work finished. I don't do much with it, but I have been getting my uptime back where it belongs.
