Bringing in Video

Hello,

How do I bring in footage from my video camera into osx? I know the usb hookup and all that, but what program do I use to import the video in?

iMovie works great, but will only import video from a firewire connection in DV format. USB has way to narrow bandwidth to work well with video. (also too slow) unless you have a USB 2.0 hi-speed vid camera, but that requires USB 2 hi-speed hardware, which is not provided with a selling Mac just yet (until G5 ships) Your main concern right now is not software, but hardware. Perhaps this thread should be moved to hardware?
