British TV programs won't play

You might need the special BBC iPlayer for those shows. Pretty sure it still only works in the UK though, has to do with rights protection.
 
Yes, BBC iPlayer only works in UK. I was in Florida last month and got the message "Not available in your territory". :(

If I was working rather than on holiday, I would have taken my company hp laptop and could possibly have accessed the iPlayer through a VPN connection to the company network. I can't think of any reason why that wouldn't work.
