Broadband mixing question

Partially Insane
Does someone know if it is possible to mix to broadband connections? For example, If i have 512 kbps ADSL and 512 kbps Cable, is it possible to make the mac make it work as a 1 Mbps connection???
Thanks in advance,

i don't think so because you only have one Eathernet port. and even if you did it wouldn't make anything faster

I've read a couple of things and seen a couple of stories on Tech TV about this. The only problem is all the things I've read are about doing it on the PC with no mention of Mac. I think AnalogX had a piece of software in beta (again, only for PC) at the point I read about it. So I guess it can be done, but it looks like it will require someone to write some software for the Mac that can coordinate both connections to work together.

Last I heard, the PC software didn't make a huge improvement. Well, not enough that paying $100+ for both types of broadband is worth it. I'll try to find some links to the stories I read.

This really isn't a limiting factor because you can always get another ethernet card (and they have USB ethernet adapters for those using non-expandable Macs, which would work fine when considering current broadband max speeds.).

just install a router. it is the most efficient way to make use of multiple connections. you can definitely increase bandwidth that way. of course, that takes a lot of know-how. but many networks have multiple connections. it s great for performance, and for reliability and redundancy
