I am trying to replace my speedtouch modem with a BT voyager 205 modem and also using tesco broadband. Can anyone run me through a step by step guide on how to do this, I do not have any install cds with the modem.

Thanks

I have a voyager 205 router.

The first thing is to decide whether to connect the router to your mac with a USB or ethernet cable. If you choose USB you'll need to install the drivers, for ethernet connection drivers aren't needed.

Next, connect the router to the power supply.

Having done that, you then connect the black telephone cable (which came with the router) to the router itself and the microfilter which is attached to the telephone socket.

The final step is to simply connect your router to your mac either by ethernet or USB cable. Bingo! It should now work!

I connect my desktop to the router via ethernet and my laptop via USB so that both machines can, when needed, be online simultaneously.
