burn folder wont recognize blank disc

anyone know why Finder wont recognize a blank cd-r to burn and toast (titanium 7) will?
i assumed it was a defective disc, but then everything went fine with toast...

i figured out the problem..although its odd.
both iphoto and finder were attempting to burn at the same time...once iphoto was quit, the burn folder worked fine.
