Burner problem

Everytime I insert a blank CD-R I get this message (attached image)

regular CDs work fine, but I blank CD-Rs are ejected straight away.

Any help much appreciated. I have some rather urgent things to burn off.

basically, OSX creates a disc image on the startup volume, to simulate the cd-r. When you actually click burn-files, it is written to the disc. That message is appearing because your boot volume is full, or does not have enough space for a full CD. Try deleting or moving some files to another volume, or using something like toast and setting it to use very little disk cache.
