Burning continuous mix CDs in iTunes

I purchased and downloaded the new Carl Cox album (from the iTunes store) which is actually a continuous mix of 15 or so songs rather than an album with gaps between songs.

However, despite setting Gap Between Songs = 0 seconds in the Preferences/Options within iTunes, the burnt CD actually has a slight gap between each song.

How do I re-create the continuous mix that the album is supposed to be?

Merge them in quicktime pro and then burn an audio CD.

or if you object to paying for a free music player, use imovie! - you can line up and even crossfade the tracks really esily, and then export as a quicktime mp3...
