it's always a little hard to knw where to start with newbies, but you gota start somewhere so here goes.
i am assuming you are talking about application icons. the little pics that id a program visually. the simplest way to move them from one app to a fiel or foler is to 1) single click on the icon. 2) go to file menu and scroll to show info. 3) single click on the icon 4) go to edit menu and choose copy 5)repeat steps 1-3 with the file/folder that you want to cop y to. 6) select paste from the edit menu 7) close both windows and look at the change
you might also want to check out www.versiontracker.com and www.macupdate.com and do a site search for 'icon'. there are several good editors and creators available.
