Buying a PB Superdrive

Hiya
Was thinkin of buying a superdrive for my Powerbook G4 550, with inbuilt CDR (Not combo!!)

Does anyone know where to get one of these in the uk/ireland/eu? what kinda prices are they this side of the atlantic???
How hard/easy are these to install.... ive installed drives in towers but aint opened a laptop up... anything i should know??
Will this play dvds in apples built in player?
oh and can i just download iDVD from apple/downloads and use it with the burner (as it aint built into my sys)

Oh, if i was in the states over the summer or just bought one from a us site would it work in my PB? it wouldnt like blow up because of the power difference?? ... hee hee,,... image in my head now of my DVD burner 'burning' my PB ... no wait that aint funny!

Look into http://www.mcetech.com - They sell the internal superdrive for the PB. The only sad thing is that they're back-ordered.

You will need help (either good printed directions, or a live tech) when replacing an optical drive in the PB G4. Not too bad a job, but easy to get into trouble!
iDVD is not a free download, only comes with iLife software, or with a system that shipped with a SuperDrive.
the SuperDrive will certainly play DVDs using Apple's DVD Player.
