Buying advice needed!

I was wondering which of the two is faster. The new PM setup (entry model) or the "old" dual gig. Now I know that we don't know the specs for the new PM but we can speculate. I was wondering if ram and faster bus makes that much of a difference in performance, that the entry model, say it would be single 1 gig, could beat the dual gig.

You can tell I don't know too much about hardware specs...

I want to hear your opinion's cause I'm buying a PM as soon as the new ones come out and I figure I could get the old one at a discount.

Are you talking about the dual processor? Keep in mind that not all programs had been ported to use the dual processor advantage.

better to get the best "old" one the the worst "new" one in my opinion, unless they are one and the same

what I really wanted to know is whether an increased bus and ram speed will make that much of a difference performancewise if the GHz stay the same but one of them has a dual processor.
