Hey Guys --
I'm buying a new iMac but given my budget I've narrowed down the specs to either a 21.5" with the 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor or a 27" with the 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor at about the same price.
I'm a web developer and software engineer, so I'll mainly be using it to write code in NetBeans, XCode, and Eclipse, but on occasion I will be doing some video and audio editing via iMovie and eventually I'd like to maybe get into editing video more indepth with Final Cut Pro though.
Pro's with the 21.5" iMac is the faster processor and I can always add a second monitor if I need more screen real estate. I can't help but wonder though if I really would see much added performance with the Core i7 processor to offset the smaller screen.
Thoughts?? Suggestions?? I know in the end it comes down to preference, but I'd like to hear the thoughts of others on this.
