BuyMusic.com vs. iTunes Music Store

Still didn't make any sense. In one category, it said bye.com was better, but still gave it to Apple. And if you look at the chart, kazaa wins easily (especially since no mention was made that it's piracy). Weak article, despite Apple's win.

Well, at least the browser check preventing Mac users from entering the site is gone. BMDC still sucks.

Well it still prevents my version of Safari. Even with the user agent changed.

They won't let you download, but you can still enter the site, can't you? I simply got a popup saying I have to use WinIE to download (which is still stupid).

i get this screen when entering with IE on mac. i don't even remember the lst time i used IE ..

ps. it's a pdf

Right, I got that too. But then I close that window and enter the site.

I don't see why they're being so anal about segregating Mac users. We have just as much money as the next guy, right? The technology is downright simple to convert, if any conversion is necessary. If BMDC cleaned up their service, revamped their library and stopped the jackassery toward Mac users, they would be a serious threat to the iTMS. But their heads are too far up their asses for that to happen, so Apple retains the superior service.

Maybe if we could use it we'd just notice how bad the sound is. Or we could find a way to get more than 1 copy of the music we paid for. Or even find a way to put the music we paid for to our ipod!

Why would we use it? No reason at all for any Mac user, even outside the US, to use the service.
