BW G3 Memory

Hi,

I was given a Blue and White G3 Powermac, but without any memory. I tried right away with a 133mhz dimm and i heard some beeps, which meant the memory was not good or not compatible, then I tried some memoty from an old G4 and it worked alright.

Now, I've been trying new DIMM modules and it doesn't beep, the display doesn't show anything and I'm wondering if something's wrong, beside the RAM not being compatible.

Did you install you RAM correctly ?
I boosted my B&W G3 without any problem.
 
Compare the type of memory from the G4 and the one you installed on the G3. Are they the same memory?? In other words, are they registered, unregistered, ECC, etc.?? Compare the two and see if one of those (or some other) factor might be the issue.
