I'm testing useing microsofts active directory for validating passwords , file permissions ,etc and apples directory services with the active directory plugin works right out of the box. Its only now that I've come to test users changing passwords that I've come up with problems.
The first problem I can live with is that if I reset a users password with the option that the password should be changed on first use , The apple will return a dialog box to change the password but never accepts any new password you change to
The 2nd problem is more of a problem to me. If I change a users password (no option to change on first use) the change is usually acknowledged by the apple but sometimes (eg if I change the password of the id a lot) the password seems to become cached on the local system and you can only authenticate useing the old password.
As this password must be cached on the local system I was wondering if anyone knew where it was kept so I could delete it
