Can you save a Finder Window postion and size?

Is there a way to save the position and size of a new finder window? I'm using 10.3.

Open the window, set the way you want, close it and next time you open a new Finder window, it should be the same as the last.

Nope, I tried that already. It goes back to the orignal way it was.

Check to make sure you don't have the "Open new windows in column view" checked in the Finder general preferences.

When you open the new Finder window, don't do anything other than set the size and position, then immediately close it. Moving icons around, traversing folders and any other actions that modify the contents of the window will void the position/size settings you make.

Strange. Works fine for me. Tried it a half dozen times.

Try trashing these preference files;

com.apple.desktop.plist
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.LaunchServices.plist

Log out and back in
