Cannot connect to router

I just bought a Belkin Wireless G Plus Router to network my four computers together. On the network are my PowerMac G4, iMac DV/SE, Dell Inspiron 5150 and the trouble-maker my PowerMac 7300 running OS 8.5.1. All of my other computers can connect to the internet but not the 7300. I was able to connect with my SMC router but now it won't with the Belkin. It's status light shows up on the router that it is active, but under the system preferences, nothing shows up, no ip address or anything.

What is going on?

Hey Gollum84....I'm sorry this isn't help to your problem...which was a while ago so you probably fixed it, but the exact same thing is happening with my ibook G4, I was wondering what you did to fix the problem (if you fixed it). Thanks!
