Cannot get Classic to run in X

I can't get Classic to run at all in X.. I think I know what may have caused this but I don't know how to revert what I did.

I have 2 internal drives, i have 9.1 on one drive and I installed X on the other. In X, it recognizes that I have 9.1 on my other drive.. The reason I installed X on the other drive is because I have beta intalled on the drive with 9.1, I didn't want them to intervene...

Anyway, now Classic starts up but then nothing loads. It finishes launching then I click to load a classic application and it begsint o animate as if it was going to start up in X, but then it disapeears from my dock and never loads..

I tried messing with extensions and such in 9.1, and it still wouldn't work. I decided hey I shoudl install 9.0 again, then upgrade to 9.1 again. So I insert my original 9.0 CD and it won't let me downgrade my system, the install won't even run!

Help.. please? :)

You should be able to boot into 9.0 simply by selecting it from the startup disk menu in the control panel. Expand the listing for the hard drive that 9.0 is on and you may see the system folder for 9.0 still there. At least this is the way it was for me.

When you want to get back to 9.1, you need to boot from the 9.1 CD. Also, this seems to do a little funny stuff to classic from OSX, you may have to reboot into 9.1 from the HD (not the CD) once before OSX will find classic again.

Hope that helps!
