cannot log into iChat with .mac account

Hi,
I have this weird problem with iChat. I cannot log in with my .Mac, I get the message that AIM is temporarily down, but when I log in with my AIM Screen Name, everything works fine!
Anyone else having this problem and knowing of a solution?

i am having a similar problem myself.

im not sure what is the reason why either.
