Cannot mount .dmg files

On my TiBook DiskCopy works fine, as it has for some time on my B&W G3 with G4 upgrade. All of a sudden today the B&W will not mount a .dmg image. I consistently get the error:

"Filename.dmg" failed to mount due to error 95. (no mountable file systems)

This happens with every file I try. They all open properly on the TiBook. I've opened many .dmg's on the B&W before.

Any ideas?

Try using Pacifist to reinstall Disk Copy from your OS X installation disc.

I copied DiskCopy from the TiBook (it works there) to the B&W and got the same error.

Are you low on hard disk space, by any chance (under 1 gig)?

Nope, there's 20 gigs available on the drive. I can't figure out what's going on with this. Opening .dmg files seems like a pretty standard feature of OS X. I CAN reinstall the whole thing, but I shouldn't really have to!!
