Cannot restore a deleted file from FileMangager7

I accidentally all records of a file instead of one record and of course cannot find the original file. The program closed and was rebootted. Restore from that point did nothting.
ANy Thoughts?

Do you have any friends at the FBI or NSA forensic labs? Not even Drivesavers can recover that kind of a file loss. The worst part was the reboot which very probably overwrote some of the deleted file with cache files. Had you been running TechTool protection, you might have been able to go back to a previous version of the directory on your hard drive and recover, but event that is tricky unless you boot from another drive.
 
What is FileManager 7? The only thing I see that's Macintosh related is some programming routines called "FileManager." Do you mean FileMaker, or are you referring to a Windows program?
