cann't get Xfree86 4.1 Work

Just installed XFree86 4.1 and get the following err message by executing startx.

Fatal server error:
Failed to connect as window server!
Quit the Mac OS X window server or use the -quartz option.

OsVendorFatalError
AbortDDX
ddxGiveUp
giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.


What should I do? have i miss something by installation? Please help.

How did you install XFree86 ?

What about your .Xinitrc file ?

Have you also installed XDarwin and a Window manager ?
