I'm using the Canon 1240U scanner and it works fine with the Canon software with Mac OSX 10.6.6. For OmniPage Pro, it was not able to pick up the canon driver. I have deinstalled and reinstalled still the same problem. Adobe photoshop works fine able to pick up the scanner. Even if I used the Canon software and select OCR function, its automatically launched the OmniPage Pro. Isn't that strange!!! I'm running out of idea, can anyone help, thks.

If the TWAIN driver works with Photoshop, then it is properly installed. You need to seriously investigate OmniPage Professional X for Mac. OmniPage Professional 17 is the latest Windows version of the application. Nuance lists Word v.X- and MacOS X 10.1-compatibility for OmniPage Pro X. In other words, the application is very old. I presume that you are running it in Rosetta.

My suggestion to you is to scan your documents to files. Then OCR the scan files later.

help please. I have just setup my old HP K80 printer to my mac version 10.5.8 when I press print it quickly shows in the rpint que hoever nothing happens and no print occurs. I have attached the rpinter via a USB. I have put new ink cartidges and the print test page works so I believe it is driver problem?
any help appreciated

OmniPage pro will not work. I use Omnipage SE which came with my Canon scanner. Also make sure you have the latest Canon drivers.
