Canon SD450 PowerShot won't play well with my Mac.

Hello, I just bought a new camera - a Canon SD5450 PowerShot. It's working beautfully, but when I plugged it into my Mac's USB port and looked in the finder, nothing shows up. This happened with my printer so I downloaded a driver for it and that fixed it. I tried looking for a driver but Canon doesn't have one for it. I'm not sure what to do.

I have a Mac g4 titanium running OSXv10.3.9.
 
The powershots like to hide until you use the camera software and then they come out to play. You can of course also use an external card reader for your camera and then it will be seen in the finder no problem. Just get a card reader that suits your camera storage type like compact flash etc........
 
Thanks!! I couldn't load the software 'cause my CD rom is dead (sigh) but I just imported it with no problems through iPhoto! I didn't think to do that before. :)
