Can't access AOL.com....

I'm running OS X v10.3.9 on my G4 Powerbook.

My browser is Firefox 2.0.0.1 but I've also got an up to date Safari browser on my laptop.

Unfortunately, when I try to log onto AOL.com, the site completely hangs on me regardless of browser. In fact, if I try to access AOL.com on the Safari browser, the computer completely crashes and requires a hard restart.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any ideas what could be causing it? Sometimes the problem will go away for a week but then it will resurface for seemingly endless periods of time. If my wife didn't have a POS...I mean PC, I wouldn't be able to get onto my mail account at all!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AOL explicitly supports Safari and supports it well. The last standalone AOL client includes a Gecko-based embedded web browser. Firefox 2.0.0.1, the latest release of Gecko-based browsers, accesses AOL like a champ. Perhaps, you need to check your Internet settings on your computer.
