Can't backup to Time Machine Disk

I keep getting message "time machine is read only".....I check "get info" for time machine disk and it is set to "read-write" .....Can't backup any files....even though there is 71gb free on disk....can you help me solve this issue? ......thanks!!!

If you don't mind losing previous backups, I'd simply reformat the harddrive as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) and have TimeMachine at it again...
 
Well the Launch Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) and "Repair Permissions" on that Time Machine drive. Hope this helps, Good Luck.
