I have a G5 dual 1.8 mac that uses the PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-117D drive.
The problem im having is that i cannot burn properly a TDK dvd-r disk. What i mean is that it begins writting, it finishes, it veryfies without problems and when i put the disk back in to see if all is ok, well the disk cant be read. It pops out of the drive by it self etc., and also doesnt work on anyother drive of anyother mac either!
What can i do? Anyone seen this before?

What exactly are you trying to burn? If it's a movie DVD you
ripped, neither a Finder nor a Disk Utility burn will work. If
you're doing a data DVD in Panther, that won't work, either.
Those are OSX system limitations.

Yes its a data DVD, why would that be a limitation for Panther? Then whats Finder in Panther capable of writting?

Anyone comment on this? Has anyone burned things before with finder and then nothing on the dvd or the dvd just pops out?
