I use a BT Voyager (also known as a globespan adsl modem) 105 and downloaded and installed the modem drivers but when I connect to aol, it doesn't recognise the modem. My model is not on the aol modem list so I can't use it. I decided to buy a netgear adsl firewall router (DG834) and connected it but aol won't connect. It goest to step 5 (connecting TCP/IP) but then says it cannot connect.
I have a 1.25GHz emac running Mac OS X 10.4.2 with 512MB RAM.
I would be most happy with any hints/tips for either modem but particularly want to use the BT voyager/globespan model
