Can't download OS 10.0.2

I tried updating in software update. It took about 5 hours on my peice of @#$ connection. Then it told me that there were errors installing, meaning it didn't install anything. I tried downloading it from the Apple site, it finished downloading, and it and turned into a .dmg file. When double clicking the file it launches disc copy, but disc copy doesn't do anything to it. Going "file->mountimage" it says it can't mount the image. I've tried downloading it several times.

To put it in a form that makes sence:

Disk Copy will not mount my the 10.0.2 disk image.

I tried to mount them in OS9, but OS9 doesn't recognize disc images that end in .dmg.
